RED BANK, NJ — Coffee lovers, rejoice.
Prep Coffee is opening its second location in Red Bank, according to a Facebook post from the company.
The new location will be at 95 Broad St, in place of the Great Harvest Bakery Cafe, which closed permanently in February 2022. “Although we have been through the worst of the pandemic, we have decided to wait out the rest of the pandemic , labor shortages, inflation and economic uncertainty,” the company said in a social media post.
Owner Valeria Rivera told Patch that the new location will have indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a selection of pastries, sandwiches, and well-rounded coffees and teas.
The new location is expected to open May 15, Rivera said.
“We currently have a cafe in Old Bridge and we couldn’t think of a better place to open a second location than Red Bank. Red Bank is a lively and energetic area where families and friends can hang out all day and eat, do shopping and enjoying and we want nothing more than to be a part of that,” Rivera said.
Prep Coffee’s mission is to create an environment where inclusion and community are prioritized “one cup of coffee at a time”.
Menu offerings include breakfast staples such as salmon avocado toast, breakfast BLT, ricotta pancakes, and a Cuban sandwich. Rivera said, “Our specialty drink is a peanut butter latte and it’s out of this world, so we’re very excited to bring it to the Red Bank area.”
